He is regular guest on BBC Radio 2′s Jeremy Vine Show. A well-written book which contains many many pertinent ideas regarding 'chavs, class and how it relates to Britain, and other countries, today. He's become a bit of a wunderkind of the Left since his first book, Chavs: The Demonization of the Working Class was published earlier this year, but Owen Jones justified his newfound position at tonight's talk at Bookmarks. Primarily, this blog is for reviewing fiction and talking about writing. There's nothing wrong with non-fiction, just it's not something that I review. Owen Jones is the author of Chavs: The Demonization of the Working Class. According to Owen Jones, the middle and upper class, demonize and ridicule those that are of the working class. For those of us who don't live in the UK, "chav" is a slang term for white working-class men and women.
